Requirements

  • A Shopify plan on any tier — Citera uses only standard Online Store 2.0 features.
  • No third-party page-builder or apps are required. Faceted filters use Shopify’s free Search & Discovery app.
  • For per-product content (specs, directions), you’ll create a few product metafields in admin. Optional but recommended.
  • For the country/language selector, configure Shopify Markets.

Install & setup

Add the theme

Add Citera under Online Store → Themes. Keep it as a draft while you set it up.

Open the editor

Click Customize to open the theme editor.

Pick a theme style

In Theme settings, pick a theme style — a preset that sets colours, type, and spacing in one move. See Foundations → Theme styles.

Set your brand

Set your logo, favicon, colours, fonts, and social links.

Build your pages

Build your homepage from sections, then set up product, collection, and other templates.

Add product metafields

Add product metafields for accurate specs and directions.

Preview & publish

Preview on desktop and mobile, then Publish.

Theme styles never touch your products or content — only the look. Switching one is always safe.
