Image with text
Two columns, side-by-side: an image and a text block. This is the most versatile Citera section — use it for brand story, feature explanations, guide entries, category intros, or anywhere you need to pair a photo with a paragraph.
Add the section
Add section → Image with text
Upload the image
Click Image → Select image. Aim for tall images — square (1:1) or portrait (4:5) work best because they match the side-by-side layout.
Write the heading
Same as any section — short and clear. E.g. “Made in small batches”, “The science behind the routine”.
Write the paragraph
One paragraph, roughly 30–80 words. Any longer and shoppers skip it.
Add a CTA button
Button label + Button link. Common: “Read more”, “Shop the collection”, “Get the guide”.

Layout: image side
Click the section
Find Layout
Options:
- Image left, text right (default)
- Image right, text left
Alternate these across multiple Image-with-text sections on the same page — the zigzag pattern keeps the page visually interesting.
Image size ratio
Same panel, find Image ratio
Options:
- Adapt to image — uses the natural aspect ratio of your uploaded image
- Square (1:1) — crops to a square
- Portrait (4:5) — crops taller than wide
- Landscape (16:9) — crops wider (less common here)
Text column width
Same panel, find Text column width
- Narrow — text fills less horizontal space, feels editorial
- Wide (default) — text and image are 50/50
- Fill — text takes 60%, image 40% (use if you have a lot to say)
Multiple text blocks in one section
If you want more than one heading+paragraph in the same section (e.g. for a short bullet list of features):
Click Image with text → Add block
Choose Text block
Add multiple text blocks. Each renders as its own paragraph or list item under the main heading.
Reorder
Drag blocks in the left panel.
