Marquee
A horizontally scrolling strip of short messages. Two flavors:
- Small marquee — thin strip, like the announcement bar (but as a section in the page body, not the header)
- Oversized display — huge display headline that scrolls, feels editorial

- Standard — one line of text at normal size
- Oversized — huge display text (100–200px tall on desktop)
The oversized variant is best used sparingly — one marquee per page — because it’s visually loud.
Reduced motion. Shoppers with “reduce motion” enabled see the marquee as static text, not scrolling. Keep messages readable even without motion.

When to use marquee
- Repeating a brand promise (“Handmade · Made in USA · Free returns”)
- Announcements (“SUMMER SALE · UP TO 50% OFF”)
- Editorial mantras (“Slow fashion · Real fabrics · Fair wages”)
Skip marquee if the text is a call-to-action — shoppers can’t reliably click scrolling text.
